FAQs & Info

The easiest way to find out what’s going on is to download our Programme and follow us on social media.

If you’d like to hear the festival explained by the organisers themselves, you’re in luck - we’ve been on the radio! Thanks a lot to Paula Wiseman and Near FM.

Where is Mayhoots?

All our festival shows take place in Maynooth across four venues. Maynooth is easily accessible from Dublin by train or bus. All venues are within 10 minutes’ walking distance of each other and the train station.

Please be aware that our performance venues in Newtown Inn and Brady’s Clockhouse are upstairs without lift access.

How do I get there?

We’d encourage visiting Mayhoots by train. Trains to and from Dublin are frequent, passing through Leixlip and Drumcondra. All our shows finish in time to get the last train home in the evening!

There are several bus routes that service Maynooth from Dublin, Leixlip, Celbridge and Kilcock.

Parking in Maynooth can be tricky as on-street parking is limited. Pay parking is available near the Glenroyal shopping centre and outside Newtown Inn. Please don’t park in the car parks for local supermarkets - you’re likely to get clamped.

What else is on in Maynooth?

Maynooth Festival of Palestinian Culture takes place from 20-23 April with an amazing programme of film, dance, food (our personal tip – get there early because you don’t want to miss the food!) and a finale gig with Palestinian and Irish music as well as some comedians you might recognise from our programme…
